ABOUT 13 COINS GYM
Location of 13 coins can be found in Bangkok Thailand. Only a short drive from Bangkok airport, 13 coins is located at Rama 9 Soi 57 (Visetsuk 3), Suanluang Bangkok, Thailand. There are cheap food stalls and a hairdresser on the same road, cafes, shops, big malls, pharmacies, doctor’s clinics and massage places just down the road and some nice nightclubs like RCA very close as well. There is a huge Hospital called Samitivej Srinakarin just a walk away from 13 coins resort where you can get access to an ATM , fruit smoothies, multivitamins and a small 7/11 type shop called family mart where you can buy phone credit, washing powder, shampoo and anything else you can think of.
Muay Thai Training Training starts at 6.30 in the morning if you want to go run it’s totally up to you to skip, shadowbox and hit the bag. Once you wrap up and put gloves on you’ll be called into the ring by a trainer to do pad rounds. The number and duration of pad rounds depends on how much you can handle. If you can make it, you can do 5 rounds of 5 mins. Between rounds there’s filtered ice cold water for you to drink next to the ring. After your pad rounds it’s entirely up to you to hang around for more bag work, clinching, sparring and sit ups. There are plenty of Thais to do all you’re clinching and sparring with. If you show commitment, the Thai trainers will start to call you in to clinch with the Thais. Training at 13 Coins is unlike any other gym in Thailand. You won’t have a Thai guy blowing a whistle and timing you on everything you do like some gyms. You won’t even have instructors tell you to skip, then shadowbox and then go hit the bag. Everything is entirely up to you. If you have come to train, then train. If you feel lazy and just want to hit the pads and leave then so be it. However if you’re getting ready for a fight they can and will push you so you’re in top shape!. Mr. Coke always says train hard fight easy!
MMA & Jiu Jitsu Training 13 Coins is one of the only gyms in Bangkok and even Thailand for that matter to have a MMA Cage! The MMA and Jiu Jitsu is ran more like a class with the Instructors telling you want to do and how to do it. Starting with 15 minutes of Stretching and warm ups. Then drilling all the basic fundamentals, after that we will go over a few more advanced techniques and drill them. Then if you’re ready we spare Jiu Jitsu or MMA it’s up to you and you goals, There are no huge egos here with some trainer just trying to show off and tap you out 20 times. The Trainers will work with you on your level from beginner to advance.

What Sets it Apart? Mr. Coke is one of the most inviting and welcoming characters. Mr. Coke is there from the crack of dawn to watch everyone train, When afternoon session comes around he’s right back in his captain’s chair keeping a keen eye on everyone, all the while talking and asking questions to learn more about who they are. Mr Coke’s personal touch is displayed by his willingness to break bread and drink wine with every fighter that is willing to sit down and build a relationship. Time has no boundary on how late Mr Coke will stay to build a relationship. There are numerous occasions where Mr. Coke would shoot us free food and wine, and then he’d bring us all in the restaurant for some karaoke and to get down and jiggy with some dancing.Mr. Coke can also set you up with an experience of a lifetime.
